The Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) has announced changes to its leadership team that are designed to increase the organization’s capacity during a time of increasing demand and accelerated growth.
“LEDC’s Board of Directors has appointed Uri Camarena, a member of LEDC’s board, as LEDC’s new interim executive director,” said Carlos Lamboglia, LEDC’s board chair. “Uri has an extensive and impressive corporate and nonprofit background. Most recently, Uri spent over a decade as senior director of business solutions at the Metropolitan Economic Development Association (MEDA). In addition, Uri’s volunteer service of more than a decade as an LEDC board and executive committee member is a testament to his dedication to our mission, familiarity with our operations, and leadership capabilities.”
“It is an honor to serve at the helm of such a great organization,” said Camarena, “and I’m eager to help the team at LEDC to successfully continue through this period of transition.”
Enrique Blanco, who has been with LEDC for three years as director of operations, will return to this role to continue bringing to fruition key initiatives that will greatly expand LEDC’s capacity and service.
“We are grateful for the dedication and hard work of Enrique,” said Lamboglia. “These changes to our leadership team reflect our collective commitment to LEDC’s mission and growth, all while adding capacity and continuity as we initiate a search for a permanent executive director.”
