Latino entrepreneurs, community leaders, foundations and local businesses have come together to develop a scholarship fund to support talented Latino students who aspire to build their future through higher education. The LEDC Latino Scholarship Fund was created to help these students continue their post-secondary studies.

The LEDC Latino Scholarship Fund was created with support from local Latinx community leaders, businesses, and foundations with the aim of increasing access to post-secondary education. The Fund aims to support aspiring Latinx students who would like to build their future through higher education. Through this scholarship we strive to create a thriving multicultural community that includes Latinx leaders and entrepreneurs among its businesses as well as its civic and cultural organizations.
This year, LEDC will award up to 12 scholarships to students pursuing a 4-year College Degree or a 2-year Associates or Technical College. The award will be $5,000 to help support the cost of tuition, books, or living expenses while students attend a 4-year college or a university in the United States or $2,500 to attend a 2-year technical school or an Associate’s degree.
Each scholarship will be divided into the number of terms per year at the awardee’s chosen college or university and will be disbursed following the receipt of proof of full-time enrollment in that term.
To receive each disbursement of the award, awardees are required to maintain a cumulative 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) out of a 4.0 GPA scale while carrying a full courseload. They will also be expected to attend a reunion of awardees at the end of the academic year and to complete a questionnaire in the Spring to help LEDC evaluate how to better support awardees.
Checks will be made payable directly to the student.
