Francisco Díaz

Land Access Coordinator

Nicaragua native Francisco was trained as an accountant, but his skills stretch far beyond the calculator. He’s a driven accounting specialist with over fifteen years of experience in fundraising, sustainability, community development, project management and capacity building. His cross-cultural skills and experience with strategic planning, budgeting management and outreach make him a natural fit in Minnesota’s Latino communities.

Francisco’s work experience has taken him from being the finance manager at a primary school to working with several international nonprofits. At LEDC, he helps the Latino community by facilitating access to capital for the purchase of farmland.

“I love that LEDC is committed to supporting the Latino community and its future generations,” he says. “LEDC strives to improve our community and open doors for anyone who wants to improve their family’s – and community’s – quality of life.”

Outside of work, you might find Francisco enjoying the outdoors on foot or bicycle, reading a good book, or listening to salsa and jazz.
